Plug?

Leavinghere.com is a photolog in the same vein as mine - check it out. There are some good shots of Springfield, and a happier take on the 'Orb of Basketball.'

Any other Western MA photologs? I'd be very interested in seeing them. I found this one by pure chance, browsing around on the Inside Boston webring. It focuses on the whole state, so 'Inside Boston' may be a bit of a misnomer. I'll join one day I have free time.

RIP Wesley Willis

Guess I'm a couple days late on this one. Well my friend just e-mailed me the bad news - Wesley Willis died on Thursday August 21st. I was a fan of Wesley's and I was fortunate enough to see him perform in March. He autographed my ticket with an art drawing, we chatted, and he headbutted me quite a few times. He will be missed.

llama
That pesky llama kept staring at me, but it looked away whenever I pointed the camera at it. Must be camera-shy. This is not the end of the llama pictures.

Photo Building
This is a nice building on Worthington st. in Springfield. There are many photography ads on it - is it authentic? Or maybe it just has that faux old look.

Polish Home (dance tonite)
The Polish Home is right next to Jimmy Squid's Weapons. At the bottom of the sign there is a neon light that reads 'dance tonite.'

Stan the Vegetable Man has been a Route 9 fixture for as long as I have been here. Just look at those diabolical, taunting eyes. Truly a Hadley icon.

Jimmy Squid's first entry

And we are live. Welcome to Jimmy Squid's Weapons, a photographic site. These are pictures I take around the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. Enjoy!

p.s. I am not Jimmy Squid. I don't know who Jimmy Squid is, except that he owns a weapon store in Chicopee.
